Being all-electric, all three can also qualify for Illinois's EV Rebate Program (reopened August 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026) — $2,000 for eligible buyers, or $4,000 for those who qualify as low-income — as long as the selling price is $80,000 or under. That covers the Niro EV and EV6 comfortably and most EV9 trims as well, though it's worth confirming on a loaded EV9. A few other conditions apply: Illinois residents buying from an Illinois-licensed dealer, income limits, one rebate per person every ten years, and filing within 180 days of purchase — plus, on a used EV, no rebate can have been claimed on that VIN before.
