Hybrid and Electric Nissan SUVs: What's Actually Available
The 2026 Rogue Plug-in Hybrid has been on sale since February 2026 — Nissan's first plug-in hybrid in the US — with about 38 miles of all-electric range and up to 420 miles of total range. For a lot of daily driving around Skokie and the North Shore, that electric range alone can cover a normal commute without touching the gas tank, while the total range still handles longer trips without any charging stops. We currently carry them in stock. A standard (non-plug-in) Rogue Hybrid is also coming, but not until late 2026 as a 2027 model — it isn't available yet.
As for a fully electric SUV, Nissan doesn't currently have one — the Ariya was discontinued after the 2025 model year and is no longer in production. The redesigned Leaf is technically built on a crossover-style body now, but Nissan still markets and sells it separately as an EV, grouped with the Rogue Plug-in Hybrid under our Nissan Electrified lineup rather than badged as an "SUV."
