Quite a lot. The Sport and Performance get a new front bumper and a split retro grille with a body-color bar, and a Z emblem replaces the Nissan badge on the nose. The NISMO can now be ordered with a six-speed manual for the first time, with an upgraded clutch, a shorter shift stroke and two-piece GT-R-derived front brake rotors that save 19 pounds. Performance adds larger-diameter monotube shocks, redesigned forged 19″ wheels and an optional tan interior. Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic joins the palette, a Qi2 wireless charger is new, and the fuel tank was redesigned so the pump doesn’t run dry under sustained cornering.

Yes — new for 2027. Since the NISMO grade launched it had been automatic-only, and that was the single most common complaint about it. For 2027 a six-speed manual is standard, with a stronger clutch, a shorter shift stroke, and throttle and ignition timing retuned specifically for the manual. The NISMO-tuned nine-speed automatic is still available at the same price. These are low-volume cars, so if you want a manual NISMO in a particular color, talk to us early and we’ll work on locating one.

Nissan doesn’t publish an official 0–60 time. Independent testing of the 400-hp manual has generally landed around the mid-four-second range, and the 420-hp NISMO is quicker still. What the spec sheet does tell you: 400 horsepower and 350 lb-ft from the twin-turbo V6, or 420 hp and 384 lb-ft in the NISMO, driving the rear wheels through a mechanical limited-slip differential on Performance and NISMO.

No — the Z is rear-wheel drive only, and that’s deliberate: it’s a two-seat sports car built around rear-drive balance. As for winter, honestly, not on the tires it comes with. The Z ships on summer performance tires, which lose grip badly below about 45°F whether or not there’s snow on the ground. Owners here generally do one of two things: fit a dedicated set of winter tires on separate wheels, or store the car from roughly December to March. The Sport is the pure starting point: 400 hp, 18″ wheels, an 8″ touchscreen. The Performance adds a mechanical limited-slip differential, 19″ RAYS forged wheels, bigger brakes with red calipers, a 9″ navigation screen with 8-speaker Bose, heated leather seats and the Qi2 charger — and for 2027, the optional tan interior. The NISMO is the track-focused flagship: 420 hp, NISMO-tuned suspension and chassis bracing, 15″ two-piece GT-R-derived front brakes, wider rear wheels on stickier tires, Recaro seats and unique fascias.

For what it is, it’s one of the few remaining honest answers in its class: a rear-drive, twin-turbo, six-cylinder coupe with a standard manual, starting under $45,000.
