Nissan is building the SR with Technology Package first, in limited numbers, and it’s the Rogue Hybrid you can drive today. It happens to be the well-equipped one — 14.3-inch screens with Google built-in, the 3D Around View Monitor and hands-off steering in slow highway traffic. The SV, SR and Platinum are expected in January 2027; tell us which one you want and we’ll call you when ours arrive.

You want one now rather than in January — SR with Technology Package

It’s the launch trim and the only Rogue Hybrid on sale right now. The other four are January cars, so if timing matters more than the exact spec, this is the one.
You want the most car for the money — SV

Same e-POWER drivetrain, same all-wheel drive and the same 41 MPG city figure as every other trim (Nissan’s target for the SV, pending EPA), with heated front seats and dual 12.3-inch screens already included. Everything above it adds comfort and tech, not capability.
Moonroof or sporty looks — SV Premium or SR, $100 apart

The SV Premium adds the panoramic moonroof and quilted seating. The SR gets 19-inch wheels, gloss black styling and the same quilted seats, but no moonroof unless you step up to the Technology Package. If the roof matters, the SV Premium is the cheaper way to get it.
You want every comfort — Platinum

Ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, 10-speaker Bose audio and dual Qi2 pads are Platinum-only, and hands-off steering in slow highway traffic is standard. It sits $2,000 above the SR with Technology Package.
You can charge at home, or the payment is the constraint — look at the other two Rogues

With a garage outlet and a short commute, the Plug-in Hybrid will beat this on running costs because most of your miles run on electricity. If the monthly payment matters most, the gasoline Rogue starts about $5,800 lower, and both are rated to tow around 1,500 lbs, so the Hybrid buys you economy rather than capability. Both are on the lot to compare.

What it’s like behind the wheel

Quiet, immediate, and nothing like a conventional hybrid

There’s no transmission hunting for a ratio and no engine note rising and falling with your right foot. You get motor torque from a standstill and a cabin that stays quiet in the stop-and-go — which is most of what driving around Chicago actually is.

Nissan has had e-POWER on sale in other markets since 2016 and says nearly two million have been sold worldwide, so this is a proven system arriving here rather than a first attempt. In the U.S. it has already been named to the 2026 Wards 10 Best Engines & Propulsion Systems list. Is the 2027 Rogue Hybrid available now?

Yes, in limited numbers. Nissan is launching with the SR with Technology Package, scheduled to reach dealers from November 2026 — we already have it on our lot. Nissan expects the SV, SR and Platinum in January 2027; that’s Nissan’s expectation rather than a firm date.

Didn’t Nissan already make a Rogue Hybrid?

Yes — a different car under the same name. The earlier Rogue Hybrid was sold for the 2017 through 2019 model years and was a conventional hybrid: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder and one electric motor drove the wheels together through a CVT. Nissan dropped it after 2019 on slow sales. The 2027 model shares the name and nothing else; it uses e-POWER, where the wheels are driven by electric motors alone.

Why is the highway figure lower than the city figure?

That’s normal for this kind of hybrid. In stop-and-go driving the motors recover energy every time you slow down, and the engine can switch off for long stretches. At a steady highway speed there’s little braking to recover energy from and the engine has to run more of the time, so efficiency drops a little. If most of your miles are city and suburban driving, the city figure is the one that will look most like your own.

Does the Rogue Hybrid come with a spare tire?

Not as standard — every Rogue Hybrid comes with a tire repair kit. A temporary spare is available as a $220 package, so if you want one in the car, say so when you tell us which trim you’re after.

Yes. Tell us the trim and color you’re after and we’ll let you know as soon as we can get one, with no obligation. Our financing team can get your numbers sorted in the meantime, so nothing holds you up when the car arrives.
