Old Orchard Nissan, at 5240 Golf Road in Skokie, just off the Edens Expressway, isn't a BMW dealership, but BMW makes up one of our larger used selections — sedans, SUVs, and a genuine mix of plug-in hybrid and fully electric models — serving shoppers throughout Evanston, Lincolnwood, Niles, Morton Grove, Wilmette, and Chicago's North Side. Every used BMW we sell passes the same 156-point inspection as everything else on our lot. Browse the vehicles above for real pricing on what's currently in stock.
What's In Our Used BMW Selection
Selection changes daily as vehicles are traded in and sold, but here's the general mix:
- Sedans — 3 Series and 5 Series are the two you'll see most; the 4 Series and 8 Series coupes show up less often.
- SUVs — X3 is our most common BMW by far, with X1, X5, and occasionally X6 or X7 also turning up.
- Plug-in hybrids — the 330e, 530e, and X3 xDrive30e (a 2020–2021 model year in the US) are genuinely common finds, not a rarity.
- Fully electric — i4, i5, iX3, iX, and i7 are less common but do come through.

A Note on BMW Certified Pre-Owned
Worth knowing upfront: because we're not a franchised BMW dealer, we can't offer BMW's own manufacturer-backed Certified Pre-Owned program — that requires purchase through an authorized BMW dealership. What every used BMW on our lot does get is our own 156-point inspection before it's offered for sale. If BMW's factory certification and warranty matter most to you, an authorized BMW dealer is the way to get it; if you're comparing on price and condition, our inspection and pricing are worth cross-shopping against theirs.
Plug-in Hybrid vs. Fully Electric — and the Illinois EV Rebate
Worth being precise about, since it affects rebate eligibility and the models aren't interchangeable: the 330e, 530e, and X3 xDrive30e are plug-in hybrids — a gas engine plus a battery you can charge — not fully electric, and Illinois's EV Rebate Program (reopened August 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026 — $2,000 for eligible buyers, or $4,000 for those who qualify as low-income) only covers all-electric vehicles, so none of them qualify. The i4, i5, iX3, iX, and i7 are fully electric and can qualify, but only if the selling price is $80,000 or under — and that cap actually matters here. The i4 and iX3 are comfortably under it (i4 tops out around $70,700 new, iX3 starts around $61,500). The i5 sits under it too, starting around $68,550. The iX is closer to the line: base trims start around $76,325 new, but higher trims run well past $80,000, so it depends on the specific vehicle. The i7 is the one to watch — it starts at roughly $105,700 new, so a used i7 is unlikely to qualify at all. A few other conditions apply whichever model you're looking at: Illinois residents buying from an Illinois-licensed dealer, income limits, one rebate per person every ten years, and filing within 180 days of purchase — plus, on a used EV, no rebate can have been claimed on that VIN before. Ask us to check eligibility on the specific vehicle rather than assuming any "electrified" BMW gets the rebate.
Service, Parts, and What to Expect on Cost
Worth being upfront about, since it's a real difference from mainstream brands: BMW parts and specialized service (particularly for the M-performance and electric models) tend to cost more than a comparable Nissan, Toyota, or Honda, regardless of where you have it serviced. For a gas-powered 3 Series, 5 Series, X1, X3, or X5, our service department services all makes and models, including the 330e, 530e, and X3 xDrive30e — we already work on plug-in hybrid drivetrains through our own Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid. The i4, i5, iX3, iX, and i7 are a different story: for anything beyond routine items like tires and brakes, you'll want a BMW-authorized EV service center with the right diagnostic tools and battery expertise.
What You'll Actually Pay at Old Orchard Nissan
Pricing depends on the specific vehicle — model, mileage, condition, and trim all factor in, and the listings above show the real price on every unit. One thing worth noticing there: the price we show is the price with fees in it — the $378 documentary fee and $35 filing fee are itemised and already included in "Your Price," so the number you're comparing here is the number you'll be comparing at the desk. Our in-house financing team works with a network of lenders, including options for buyers with bad or no credit, and you can get pre-approved online in minutes before you visit. Ask us for today's number and your current rate on any BMW you're considering.

FAQs About Buying a Used BMW at Old Orchard Nissan
Which BMW models do you typically have?
It changes daily with trade-ins, but the X3 is our most common find, along with 3 Series and 5 Series sedans and X1. Plug-in hybrid versions (330e, 530e, X3 xDrive30e) turn up often too. Check the listings above, filtered by model, for exactly what's here today.
Do you have BMW Certified Pre-Owned vehicles?
No — that program is only available through authorized BMW dealers, since we're a Nissan dealership. Every used BMW we sell does pass our own 156-point inspection, which applies regardless of make.
Does a plug-in hybrid BMW like the 330e or X3 xDrive30e qualify for the Illinois EV rebate?
No — the 330e, 530e, and X3 xDrive30e are plug-in hybrids, not fully electric, and Illinois's EV Rebate Program only covers all-electric vehicles. Only the i4, i5, iX3, iX, and i7 are eligible, and even then only if the selling price is $80,000 or under — worth checking case by case, especially on the i7, which starts well above that new.
Is a used BMW more expensive to maintain than other brands?
Generally, yes — BMW parts and specialized service, especially on M-performance and electric models, tend to cost more than a comparable Nissan, Toyota, or Honda, regardless of who services it. Worth factoring into the total cost, not just the purchase price.
Can Old Orchard Nissan service my BMW?
For a gas or plug-in hybrid BMW, yes — our service department handles all makes and models, and we already work on plug-in hybrid drivetrains through our own Rogue Plug-in Hybrid. For the i4, i5, iX3, iX, or i7 specifically, routine items like tires and brakes are fine here, but battery and drivetrain work needs a BMW-authorized EV service center.
Can I trade in my current car toward a used BMW?
Yes — any make, any model. Our team will value your trade while you look at the vehicle, and in Illinois your full trade-in value reduces the taxable price of what you're buying, with no cap.
