2017 Nissan Rogue Sport

The Nissan Rogue Sport has been one of Nissan’s best kept secrets. Until now, this compact crossover has only been available in Japan, Europe, and Canada. But now, the model formerly known as the Qashqai is coming to the US, and we couldn’t be more excited.

Here’s why you should be, too.

The 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport is Here

This new SUV is joining its brothers and sisters in the Nissan SUV and crossover lineup, but it’s bringing a different from the rest.

Playing off the popularity of the Nissan Juke, the 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport offers buyers a new small SUV option. The new Rogue Sport is a full foot shorter than the Juke, but slightly larger than some other currently popular small SUVs (like the HR-V, or the Jeep Renegade).

Despite the Rogue’s more compact design, the 2017 Rogue Sport gives passengers 10 extra inches of space overall.

So far, the Rogue Sport is only offered with one powertrain option: a 2.0-liter direct injection four-cylinder controlled by a XTronic continuously variable transmission. The combo gets drivers 141 horsepower and 147 lb.-ft. of torque.
